Adding yet another franchising accomplishment to his illustrious career, Dan Monaghan, the co-founder and chief visionary officer (CVO) of WSI has assumed the leadership role as Chairperson of the International Franchising Association’s (IFA) Franchise Education and Research Foundation. Dan is also the founder and managing partner of Clear Summit Group, a franchise accelerator that invests in and develops early-stage franchise companies, including Tutor Doctor, Qualicare, CodeWiz, Fuzz Wax Bar, and College Pro.
Dan steps into this role after previously serving as Vice Chair of the Foundation. With his childhood dream of being a franchise entrepreneur and realizing it at the early age of 27 with WSI, the world’s largest digital marketing agency network, Dan is certainly a deserving choice of Chair and a fitting representation of all that the IFA Foundation stands for. Acting as a bridge between franchising and diverse communities, the Foundation rolls out and actively supports ongoing initiatives to shape the future of franchising.
Speaking about the new role, Dan says, “Every entrepreneur with a dream (like mine), deserves to be successful, not just as a startup but as a formidable business that has the capability to spread its wings and grow steadfastly and never stop. If there’s a growth and profitability challenge that franchising cannot resolve, I haven’t seen it yet, and I probably won’t! The franchising community is a powerhouse of tools and knowledge that help promote and serve to protect the uniquely enduring franchise business model. At the IFA Foundation, we collaborate and cooperate across multiple levels of industry and governance to help further develop and strengthen franchising globally. Needless to say, there’s no time like the present to be a force for good in communities around the world. The IFA Foundation is that force. As the new Chair, I consider it a huge and prestigious responsibility to rally every resource possible to fulfill our mission of economic empowerment, stability, and unfettered growth.”
For members of the WSI digital marketing network, having their co-founder take on the role of Chair within the IFA Foundation is a matter of great pride and prestige. It is a testimony to the success of WSI’s franchise model as a proven, enduring form of doing business anywhere in the world. Reiterating his stewardship role and support for the IFA Foundation and its members, Dan adds, “I want to take this opportunity to extend my support and also thank every member of the IFA and the IFA Foundation for theirs. As separate franchise entities, we have many milestones to reach and hurdles to overcome. The beauty of the franchise world brought together under the IFA umbrella is that every problem a franchise faces today already has a resolution in place because another franchise tackled it previously and emerged on the other side! So, my message to franchise owners and franchisees is that you may be going it alone, but you’re never alone—there’s always support available. All you have to do is reach out to your peers at the IFA Foundation, and we will find the right help for you!”
